Americas - Trade agreement has domain name dispute language

(Interactive Week) Under the intellectual property section of the FTAA's trade agreement, proposed language requires ccTLD operators to abide by the UDRP developed by Icann. The FTAA agreement aims to reduce barriers and tariffs in the Western Hemisphere by creating one set of trade rules for the 34 countries in North and South America, except Cuba. 19 July 2001
