The World Intellectual Property's Phonograms and Performances Treaty (WPPT) to protect singers, musicians, composers, artists - and record companies - against online intellectual property theft will become effective on May 20, after Honduras became the 30th country required to sign on to the treaty today gave its assent. 24 February 2002
