Netherlands - Opta has new rules for mobile phone operators

(FT) Opta, the Dutch telecommunications regulator, is introducing new rules to force mobile phone operators in the Netherlands to cut call charges from fixed lines to mobile phones. Opta is taking action against KPN Mobile and the Dutch arm of Vodafone, arguing that operators' so-called "termination charges" - the charges mobile phone operators levy for accepting calls from fixed line networks - are too high. 7 April 2002
